This is a blog set up as an attempt to keep everyone who is interested in Bert's recovery, up to date. We will try to keep new information coming as soon as we have it so that you all can be aware of how well he is doing. We hope this can keep the phone calls to a manageable level and still provide a reliable, common source of news about his progress during recovery.
Bert will have his surgery at Piedmont Hospital at 12:30 on Monday, Feb. 25. They anticipate the surgery lasting 1.5-2 hours.
We are told that he will be home sometime Thursday.
