Bert's treatment on Monday the 10th went well. The only glitch was the backup in the radiation clinic. He has to have the radiation within one hour of taking the chemo drug, so timing is an issue. They are trying to work with us on this, but it's kind of a pain in the neck. Too bad there's so darn many people that need radiation. As far as the side effects from the drug, there have been none. The anti-nausea pill does the trick until the drugs are out of his system by evening, so again, we're so lucky about that. We see the nutritionist today before treatment to find out what wonderful foods will boost his immune system and help during the whole process. So far so good...
