Bert was moved to a private room today and had a good day. A physical therapist worked with him providing tips on strengthening his right arm, where post-op swelling caused some weakening. He is up and walking now and feeling much better. We were relieved that the MRI results did not show anything they didn't know from the surgery. The girls were in to visit him today and he really enjoyed seeing them. We expect him to be released by the end of the day Tuesday. He will start chemo treatment (Avastin) 14 days after surgery.

The family is so thankful for all the prayers and good wishes from so many good friends.

Bert,
We here at the Millen United Methodist Church just wanted you to know how much we have you and your family in our prayers. Our thoughts surround you at this time. We pray that God's miraculous healing hand will be upon you now and always. May God Bless and keep you as you begin chemotherapy in two weeks. With Christ love and our continued prayers for you and your family,
Rev. Christy Bandy (pastor of the Millen UMC)
