We are finally done with radiation therapy as of last Friday! Yay! Bert was really feeling the effects as far as fatigue and difficulty with appetite, but we're already seeing a lessening of it this week. Let's hope it continues to improve quickly! We spent an "away" weekend intown with friends to see two different bands that were playing, and Bert found incredible reserves of energy to make both late shows and even to enjoy them . It was a great way to celebrate the end of six long weeks. Now we have the four weeks for him to recover. We will have our MRI in mid-May, and we expect him to start back on the chemo around the same time. The doctor said that he is unusual to have made it the entire treatment without being on any steroids, so more power to Bert! Also, his blood counts never got out of range which is fantastic. We'll keep everyone posted, but hopefully we won't have anything to report for awhile except impr ovements. Thanks again for everyone's kindness and support of us!
